The dates of birth and death arent exact, i cant remember the dates etc cause i was still young.
(The rat in the picture is Midge!) :D

Tilly and Midge were my two female rats. They were the cutest couple! :D I doted on them. They were cheeky, and the best escape artists ive ever seen! Partners in crime? Most defonatly! They may to other people be just a couple of rats, but i loved them so much. They would snggle into you, they would just generally make you feel better when you were down :D Even friends of mines who were scared of rats grew to like them due to Tilly and Midge, they were so friendly and sociable. Tilly began to grow tumours rapidly, it was too late to do anything about them by the time she passed. I was devistated, as was her sister Midge. Midge was never right since, but i made an effort to make extra time for her. One day when i took her out of her cage, she fell over, it was then i reolisde her whole left side was paralysed, she had had a stroke. I nursed her all day, knowing it was het time to go, she didnt go without a fight though! She eventually passed and i buried her near her sister. I still miss them to this day, they were so unique. Love you pair lots :D At least you have been reunited in the big wheel in the sky! xxx

They're Only Rats

How I hate it when I hear those words.

No matter what type or size or shape they were, they were our companions and confidantes.

They leave a gap in our hearts and we will always be better people for holding the hearts of these small creatures even for such a short time.

My daughter lost her 2 rats to tumours only a couple of years ago. They were 2 little characters also.

I am sorry for your loss. It is so difficult but we all have to realise that we will outlive many generations of pets, and it never gets easier to say goodbye.

Beyond the Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

My Forever Friend
I know that it must be different,
now that I am no longer there.
I realize how much I was loved
and how all of you did care.
I know it will be hard at first
when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed
or beside my favorite tree.
Someday you will begin to see
although it'll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me,
the memories are yours and mine.
I'll remember you, my friends,
and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad,
it was just my time to leave.
